Practice Areas

Wills and Trusts
A large portion of time is devoted to the fundamental aspects of will and trust preparation. To that end, all aspects of the client's assets and personal interests are taken into account along with the impact of state and federal tax laws. The practice specializes in will preparation for young families, along with guardianships and planning for children.

Living Wills
The practice offers living will, or medical care advance directive preparation, sensitively and professionally. The practice drafts directives that put into enforceable writing the client's wishes, whatever they may be, in a comprehensive and effective manner.

Living Trusts
Living trusts (also known as intervivos trusts) have become an important planning tool. The practice orchestrates the drafting, funding, and administration of living trusts in close consultation with the client in order to effectuate the best allocation of assets. During the lifetime of the trust, the practice continues to advise the trustees regarding administrative matters and handles the continuation or distribution of the trust after the death of the person creating the trust.

Probate Administration of Estate
The practice offers comprehensive administrative services associated with the probate of estates. These services include: inventory of assets and liabilities, preparation of documents for appointment of personal representatives; analysis of income and estate tax planning options; preparation of accountings; preparation of all income and estate tax returns; transfer of assets for estate distribution; and closing the probate administration.

Lifetime Estate Planning
The practice assists in the selection, use, and implementation of a wide variety of planning tools other than the living trust, such as irrevocable gift trusts; generation-skipping trusts, life insurance, life insurance trusts, and income trusts; direct gifts; and education or care funds for children, grandchildren and other in-need family members.
